Where has the month gone? I have been saying everyday to myself that I need to "play catch up" and make a new post for "Week 2". January was at a standstill anway so I had plenty of time. Then "Week 2" became the end of"Week 3". Suddenly my pocketful of moxie seemed more like a pocketful of indifference. Where had all of my moxie gone? Maybe is was lost somewhere in the same abyss as my passport and Tiger Woods? Or could it be that I was already falling a victim to the broken new years resolution?? Gasp!
Well, I'm back and not letting my affair with laziness deter me from getting back in the game (Not so sure Tiger will have as much luck when he resurfaces. Ouch.). My goal is still the same, to write weekly and maybe add in some fun other things here and there when I can. My other goal is also in full swing as I'm all registered for my photography class which begins in 3 weeks. I have been taking pictures when I can but mostly shooting automatic. I have also been working alot more with editing the photos in Photoshop. I have learned some really amazing techniques recently. I would love to take some Photoshop courses this year also.
I was shooting for three goals for 2010 and the first two are covered. I wanted one more really good goal. You would think that since we are in the last week of January I would have come up with something perfect. Sadly, no. Maybe I am thinking too hard? I think my goal for this week should be to determine finally what that will be. Is it just me or has the word "goal" started to sound weird now? Kind of like when you say "milk" a number of times.
I do think that so far 2010 has been pretty sweet! After all of the hoopla of the prior 3 months January brought us some much needed "free" weekends. I admit to feeling blue for a bit after Christmas. It was the first Christmas that Gabby really got into and she adored every little bit and piece of it. Experiencing it with her was simply magical. The aftermath of it all seems too quiet and lacking all the glitter that Christmas brings. BUT, I know the lull is coming to an end as the next few weekends are booked with all kinds of fun events. Who knows, maybe I'll even find that passport!
Gabby-ism's of the past few weeks:Tim (to Gabby): Negative.
Gabby: Is that Spanish for "no"?
Gabby: Mommy, at the end of all the days can we listen to my Christmas songs again?
Me: (confused face) What do you mean sweetie?
Gabby: At the end of all the days, I want to hear my Christmas songs again.
Me: (lightbulb!) OH, yes of course at the end of the year, in December, we can listen to Christmas music again!
